Making a Splash

This new build house was designed by Roger White for a local Lymm family. In replacing the former motorway vehicle recovery site the planning application utilised the original built form of the site to justify the overall scale and size of the new house as it was located in the Green Belt.

The house provided family rooms, six bedrooms, ensuites, triple garage with granny annexe and an indoor swimming pool.

Green Oak Above

Green Oak Trusses are located in the family space and also the swimming pool area. The use of natural timber gives a tactile feel to the space whilst allowing for large uninterrupted spans creating the open feel below.

The kitchen/family space access onto an external courtyard that also links to the indoor pool and then down towards the garden and woods beyond.
