Pedestrian Friendly Village

In 2006 Randle White brought forward the idea of pedestrianisation of Lymm Village Centre to the members of the Parish Council.

The proposal was that the middle of the village is made into pedestrian zone and that its weekly market be brought into the heart of the village, which would boost trading and increase visitor numbers

Restricting the village to pedestrian access would encourage more families to visit in safety and increasing the number of seating areas would make people linger for longer, potentially encouraging greater spend in our local shops.
