Community Help

Randle White have recently gained a successful planning decision for the phased replacement and redevelopment of Bethesda Evangelical Church in Stockton Heath, Warrington.

The Church Trust wanted the new building to not only meet the needs of a growing congregation but also to provide a facility that can reach out to the community.

The project is currently at RIBA Stage E, F before going out to tender.

Group Engagement

After engaging with the different groups who are involved with the church Randle White were able to develop a plan to cater for; -

· Pre-School Groups
· Bible Study Groups
· Evening Classes
· Coffee Morning Meetings
· Weekly Church Services and Sunday School

Creating Spaces

It was important to create a number of separate spaces for the Church to meet the needs of the congregation.
Separate rooms would be needed for Sunday school classes and also Crèche facilities for the younger members.
In addition to the spaces inside the building a new external play area is proposed which can be accessed from the classrooms at first floor.
The building fully conforms to Part M of the current building regulations and is served by an ambulant staircase and lifting platform.
